> RoboYap is a web-based platform that provides safe, fun AI chat companions for children, with full parental controls, real-time content moderation, and zero stored conversations. RoboYap is COPPA-compliant and requires verifiable parental consent before any child data is collected.

Children never create accounts — no child profiles, no tracking, and no personal data are ever collected. Chat messages are never stored on RoboYap's servers; conversations exist only on the child's device for the duration of the session and are permanently discarded when it ends.

Every message sent and received is independently screened in real-time against 14 harmful content categories. When concerning content is flagged, the parent receives an immediate notification in the Parent Portal with full context for review. Parents also write plain-language household rules (e.g., "Don't discuss social media", "Always encourage effort") that every AI agent is required to follow without exception.

The platform includes 25+ subject-specific AI tutors: Math Muse, Algebra Ace, Geometry Guide, Creative Writer, Grammar Coach, Science Buddy, Biology Tutor, Chemistry Tutor, Geography Explorer, History Helper, CS Tutor, Logic & Reasoning, and more. Parents can also build custom agents from scratch, each with configurable persona, instructions, and optional web search.

The Parent Portal provides a full-visibility dashboard for managing children, agents, household rules, paired devices, flagged messages, and per-child usage analytics. Device pairing uses a simple code that works on any phone, tablet, or computer — no app installation required. Access can be revoked instantly.

## Compliance

- **COPPA compliant** — Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (16 C.F.R. Part 312). RoboYap is a service directed to children and applies COPPA protections to all child profiles regardless of age.
- **Verifiable parental consent** required before any child data is collected, using the "email plus" method permitted under 16 C.F.R. § 312.5(b)(2)(vi).
- **UAE PDPL compliant** — Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
- **Zero Data Retention** enforced on all AI requests — neither the AI router (OpenRouter) nor any upstream model provider retains prompt or completion data.
